Help your merchants get started quickly by assisting with their Know Your Customer (KYC) process. This improves their onboarding experience and reduces the time it takes to activate their account.
You can assist merchants with KYC in one of the following ways:
Complete the KYC process for the merchant using your dashboard.
Share the onboarding link with the merchant.
Ask the merchant to complete KYC using their Cashfree Merchant Dashboard.
After KYC submission, eligible merchants are activated instantly and can start accepting payments.
To complete the merchant’s KYC on their behalf:
At the final step, the merchant must enter their Aadhaar number and verify it using a one-time password (OTP). You can fill in the details up to this step. Then, share the onboarding link with the merchant to complete Aadhaar verification.

Track the KYC and product activation status of your referred merchants in the Merchants section of the Affiliate Partner.
Status | Description |
---|---|
Pending | Payments aren’t activated yet. KYC is still pending. |
Active | The merchant is activated and can accept payments. |
Rejected | The requested products can’t be activated for this business. |
Status | Description |
---|---|
Complete KYC (KYC pending) | The default status for new merchants. Next step: complete KYC. |
Under review | The KYC has been submitted and is under review. |
Resubmit KYC (KYC rejected) | The submitted KYC has discrepancies. Resubmission is required. |
Blocked | The requested products can’t be activated for this business. |
Completed | KYC has been approved. |
